Campus Computer Labs
Grossmont College has a variety of specialized computer labs for student use.
Open Computer Lab
The OCL is located in the Tech Mall (70-142). It is the only general use computer lab on campus. Discover more about the OCL.

Specialized Labs

The ALC is located in Building 30, Room 162, and provides drop-in tutoring and support for Anatomy and Physiology students. The lab features four computer stations and a printer.

The Assistive Technology Center is located in Building 70, Room 135. ATC offers assistance with computer hardware and software to help individuals with disabilities use technology effectively.
The center features 15 computers, two printers, and is wheelchair accessible. ATC staff offer support in using college portals including Self-Service, Canvas, and Zoom.

The Flex Lab is located in Building 70, Room 131. Staffed by the Business Office Technology department, the Flex Lab provides computer access and assistance for BOT and keyboarding students. The Flex Lab houses 70 computers and a printer, and is wheelchair accessible.
Drop-in, as well as appointment-based tutoring is available for all business, economics, and BOT students.

The Chemistry Lab is located in Building 30, Room 252. This lab is equipped with 40 computers and two printers, and is wheelchair accessible.
The lab offers software that includes extensive sets of problems, drills, and experiments designed to support chemistry students.

CSIS maintains their Open Lab in Building 70, Room 112, and also offers online tutoring through Zoom. The lab features 26 computers and one printer, and is wheelchair accessible.
Lab computers provide a range of software tools, including MS Office, Macromedia, Adobe, and programming and web development applications.

The Digital Media Lab is located in Building 20, Room 105. The lab offers 25 Mac Minis and four high-quality Epson photo printers, with wheelchair accessibility.
Students enrolled in digital art courses have access to the Adobe Creative Suite and digital drawing tablets.

The English/ESL Independent Studies lab is located in Building 70, Room 122. The lab is wheelchair accessible and offers 31 computers.
The lab provides for a variety of English and ESL software programs, including Focus on Grammar (4 levels), Grammar 3D, English Microlab, GEAR, Skills Bank 4, One Step at a Time (2 levels), as well as desktop access to A Writer's Reference and the Newbury House Online Dictionary.

The English Writing & Humanities Center is located in Building 70, Room 119. The center offers 10 computers and is wheelchair accessible.
Drop-in tutoring is available for English, ESL, and any writing-based assignments.

The Health Science Lab is located in Building 34, Room 254. The lab offers 30 computers and one printer, and is wheelchair accessible. The lab provides computerized instruction and space for study groups, available exclusively to Health Science students.

The Math & Science Center is located in Building 36, Room 227, and offers both drop-in and appointment-based tutoring. All math and science students are welcome.
The center is equipped with 15 Dell All-in-One computers and provides access to a printer. The MSC is also wheelchair accessible.

The Media Comm Lab is located in Building 20, Room 120, and is available for reservation or use by students currently registered in MCOM classes.
The center is equipped with 30 high-performance Dell All-in-One computers.
The Speech/Communications Center is located in Building 21 Room 250. The center is equipped with two computers and is wheelchair accessible.

The Veteran's Resource Center is located in Building 36. VRC provides a collaborative environment for student services.
The center works with offices such as the Accessibility Resource Center (ARC), the Assistive Technology Center (ATC), and Gizmos Kitchen Food Pantry, as well as other on- and off-campus agencies. These entities work together to support veterans and their families.
