Grossmont College awards Associate Degrees and Certificates of Achievement three times a year at the end of the fall, spring and summer semesters. However, the Annual Commencement Ceremony is held once a year in spring.
It is the responsibility of the student who expects to graduate –that's you! – to have all college transcripts on file prior to filing an application for graduation.
Complete the application and file it before the deadline for the semester in which you plan to complete requirements for a degree. (See Academic Calendar in front of catalog or class schedule for exact deadlines.)
If you are not in continuous attendance at Grossmont College, be aware that you must meet degree requirements listed in the catalog in effect at the time of re-admission.
You may choose to meet requirements in a catalog published after your re-admission provided you remain in continuous attendance.
To apply for graduation:
Printed diplomas will be mailed within the United States approximately three (3) to four (4) months after the semester ends. Please make sure your current address is on file. You must submit an Address Change for Graduation Form to the Evaluations Office if you have a new mailing address. If you do not receive your diploma because of an incorrect address, the fee for replacement is $15.00 per printed degree and/or certificate.
Diplomas may be mailed internationally for a fee; please make arrangements in the Evaluations Office.
Each year, at the completion of the spring semester, the commencement ceremony is held on campus. Please visit the Commencement page for more information.
Please contact your Evaluations Advisor if you have any questions. We are all qualified to assist you if your advisor is not available when you call.
