Adjunct Associate Professor at Grossmont College in Anthropology and Ethnic Studies since 2003; Lecturer in Anthropology at SDSU (2017-present) and USD (1999-2019). My areas of specialty include archaeology and anthropology with a focus on Native American studies, especially California and Southwest Indians. I assisted two Indian reservations establish their tribal museums, exhibits and programs. First Curator for Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians (4 yrs) and First Director/ Curator for Barona Band of Mission Indians (16 yrs.) My other experience includes 4 years as Museum Anthropologist for Palm Springs Desert Museum; 4 years as Educator and Southwest Curator, San Diego Museum of Us.). MA in Anthropology from SDSU. Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. Vice-President of Programs for Western Museums Association. Woman of the Year 2007 in Arts and Culture, San Diego-East County Chamber of Commerce. I love dystopian science fiction, needlework, and gardening. Married with 2 sons, and 3 stepchildren, and 3 grandchildren. |
